Privacy Policy

NotToday is built on a simple premise: your spending behavior is your business. Here is everything we do with data, in plain English.
Your data lives on your phone
Everything you enter in NotToday — challenges, rules, captured urges, prices, decisions, savings — is stored locally on your device. There is no account, no sign-up, and no copy of your data on our servers. You can export all of it, or delete all of it, at any time from Settings.
What we do collect
We use PostHog for anonymous product analytics so we can tell whether the app actually works. Analytics events are tied to a random anonymous ID, not to you. Dollar amounts are reduced to broad bands (like “$25–50”) before leaving your device. Item names, store names, URLs, photos, and free-text notes never leave your device. We also use crash reporting to fix bugs.
What we will never do
- Sell or share your data. To anyone. Ever.
- Ask for access to your bank accounts.
- Run ads or ad trackers.
- Use affiliate shopping links.
Waitlist emails
If you join our waitlist, we store your email address and your optional survey answer to send you beta invites and launch updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address entirely at any time.
A note on what NotToday is
NotToday is a self-help habit tool, not medical or financial advice, and not treatment for compulsive buying disorder. If shopping is causing you serious distress, please talk to a licensed professional — our support page lists resources.
